STATEMENT

I am an interdisciplinary artist who works with an array of materials: wood, metal, concrete, clay, cardboard, among others. The materials are simply part of my conceptual process. My work deals with issues that related to human conditions. My work focuses on social issue such as, but not limited to, immigration, racism, trafficking, politics, homelessness, poverty. 

BIO

I was born in Mexico City, and emigrated to the U.S at the age of seventeen. I graduated from the California State University of Sacramento with a B.A. in Studio Art. I have completed several residencies between the USA and Mexico, and have earned my MFA in Sculpture, from Rinehart School of Sculpture at Maryland Institute College of Art. My sculptures have been exhibited in California since early 2000s, and more recently, in Baltimore, MD.
